SUMMARY
During the general survey on the plankton composition of Egypt, three new species of diatoms have been
recorded from Abu Qir Bay, on the eastern side of Alexandria. A detailed account ofthem is given in this paper.
These are: Trachyneis minu/is; Nal’icu/a simplicis;
Surirel/a de/icalis.
