MEDITERRANEAN WATERS.

ABSTRACT
The thecate hydroids of the Egyptian Mediterranean waters are
represented by the Family Campanulariidae. Th1S Family is represented
in the present collection by five species, these are : Clyt1a
gracil i~L .Ql11~__ lLem1sph~_~rJ:~~L ~l~ sp., GQnothyraea loven1 &
QPelia _geniculat~. The study differentiates between the two former
species carefully. Some of the species are newly recorded in the
Egyptian Mediterranean waters: ClItia gracilis, ~lytia hem1spha~r1ca &
gonothyraea loveni. The Taxonomy, Morphology & D1str1bution of the
recorded species are discussed.
