ABSTRACT
The aim o} work is the determination of pollution e.ffect 011 length-weight
relationship and conditionfactor oftwo dominant ti/apia species (Q. niloticus
and Q. aureus) in Lake Mariut.
The results indicated that, there are highly Significant variations in
length-weight relatiollShip and conditionfactor ofboth mentioned species in
polluted and nOll-polluted parts of the lake. This study indicates that the
environmental conditions in the Southeast basin are more suitable for growth
of both species than that in Lake proper.
