Central Lab
Central lab Unit is considered one of the most supportive research units within the National institute of Oceanography and Fisheries (NIOF) – Alexandria – Egypt. It is well equipped with highly sophisticated analytical instruments for providing analytical/testing services in the field of water quality analysis, environmental analysis, soil analysis, petroleum and petrochemical analysis, food & feed analysis and material & corrosion testing. A well-qualified staff carries out the analytical service mission for researchers within and out of NIOF.
Vision
To be an accredited unit conforming to ISO17025 standards and to be an internationally recognized Centre of Excellence in relation to the delivery of analytical/testing services through collaboration with NOIF staff, government and non-government organizations and with other researchers nationally and internationally.
Mission
To provide analytical and technical support and consultancy to serve efficiently the research activities and testing needs using creativity, flexibility and technical expertise in performing simple or complex analyses with total focus on Researcher satisfaction and quality workmanship. Also, optimize and upgrade the practical performance of technical staff and students and provide hand on experience on using the analytical instruments.
