ABSTRACT
Completely ripe female Bagrus docmac were collected
from June to September from the Nfle in the vednlty
of Ca1ro. The highest percentage (38.8%) was caught
1n July which seems to be the peak of its spawning
season.
The fecund1ty of Bagrus ~ocmac Increases at a
rate more than the cube of length (3.87). and at
a rate little more than the unity of the weight
(1.15). The relative fecundity Is 36. This spedes
attains its f1rst maturity when it reaches 1ts third
year of life. The maximum empirical fecundity in
relation to age, belongs to age group VI. which
Is four times higher than that of age group III.
