ABSTRACT
The concentrations ofCd, Pb, Cu and 2n in nluscle, gills, liver, gonads,
skin, bone and brain ofMugil seheli seasonally caught during 1991-1992fronl
Suez Bay were determined by/lanle atonlic absolption spectrophometry (AAS).
The results reveal that the level ofthese metals in the nluscle was the least
than in the other tissues. Also, the concentration of the metals showed
organ-and nletal – specific accunlulation as high concentration ofCd and Pb
were consistently recorded in hard tissues as gills, skin and bone, while Cu and
2n were accumulated in liver and gonads re5pectively.
