ABSTRACT
Frequencies (?{ storm surge days at Alexandria are investigated, the
research covered storm surge datafor winter months (?{ the two period~’ (196-1
– 1969) and (197-1 – 1983).
The possible occurrence (?f stornl surge days are deduced as well as the
nun1ber (!f these days per year. The frequency qfthe abnorn1alsurges which
exceed + 30 cn1 above or below the predicted tide level is determinedfrom an
empirical relations for the frequency (?{ occurrence (?f surges and the surge
