ABSTRACT
Florida red tilapia was maintained on four isonitrogenolls (30%
crude protein) diets ofdifferent lipid levels (3. 6. 9 and 12%) at three
levels of salinity. In freshwater. there were detectable and significant
changes (P
some sort of abnormality; the fat vacuoles were numerousforming a
mass ojjat which in turll enlarged the oocytes. In conclusion, 9% lipid
level. was found to be the optimum levelfor female reared in brackish
water and seawater and 6% for those reared infresfrn1ater and the
brackish water is the beneficial salinity for rearing this hybrid
