Tne neat ba lance terms based on tne montn ly mean
meteorological elements are calculated in tne coastal waters
off Alexandria. Tne evaporation flux, the sensible heat flux
and tne effective back radiation terms are 128 w/m2, 15 w/m2
and 94 w/m2 respectively. Tne net solar radiation flux is
238 W/m2, indicating that tne neat lost from tne sea surface
is balanced by the heat gain.
