ABSTRACT
Seasonal changes in ovaries of fraeburus
-edtterraneus are described. Tl:e ovary
of this fish Is surrounded by vascularized
longitudinal and circular muscle layers.
Six developmental stages are described in
detail. I’; each stage. the nucleus and
cytoplasm are· described as the diameter.

Histological analysis reveals that the
oocyte passes through two successive phases
before it becomes a ripe egg. migration

recorded.
